  1. Who are you? I’m a south London artist who has a huge love for all things graffiti, street art, psychedelic art & surrealism.

  1. What technique(s) do you use for your designs? I mainly use spray paints for murals and walls & marker pens and acrylic paints on canvas. I’ve just recently started experimenting with digital art.

  1. Where do you get your inspiration from? Mother Nature, symbols, Aztec totems, masks and the circus. I don’t always have a plan of what I’m going to paint or draw. I just find a wall and paint it.

  1. What song do you listen to when you are creating? I enjoy tuning into a song called “Ancient Eye” by Active Child. I love all of his music as it reminds me of being in nature in the countryside while living in the midst of an urban landscape.

  1. What's the artist or the artwork who/which inspired you the most? I’ve been inspired by a good friend and fellow artist Marc Craig. Collaborating with him on large scale murals as a duo or part of our art collective “Psychodoodlz” have all been amazing experiences. We work with artists from every background and open it up to a wider community of all ages to join in through creating art.

  1. A quality, a weakness? A weakness would probably be my love for cats. :)

  1. When did you realize you wanted to become an artist? (Tell us your story) Back in 2003 during various trips with friends on London Overground and random walks, I would see lots of graffiti on the tracks by writers such as Save, Kiz, Pane, Vamp, Panik, Take & more. What I liked most was seeing all the different hand styles, colours and throw-ups covering entire walls. After that I watched a lot of Graf videos online featuring artists from South London and around the world. It wasn’t until 2012 when my friend and I had Boris Bikes, we accidently stumbled onto Leake Street Tunnel in Waterloo. This same friend also gave me the name Fane, which means temple or shrine in Latin.

  1. What was your dream job when you were a child? As a child, my dream job was to be lorry driver. I loved seeing all the different sized lorries carrying huge loads. To this day, I am still fascinated by them - how they are made and engineered. I’m also fascinated by megastructures & rollercoasters.

  1. Why did you choose to collaborate with Modern Art Family? I was approached by the lovely Mathilde who spotted my work on Instagram. She explained to me the main ethos for Modern Family which resonated with me. Decals were something I’d never worked on before, so I was excited at working on something new and different.

  1. Next step for you: Any exhibitions coming soon? Any personal projects?... No exhibitions at the moment. However, I am working on some new canvases which I’m planning to exhibit and sell.
